The focus of the Encirq Professional Services team is to provide clients with additional resources and expertise for accelerating the development of faster, more efficient applications for processing data in resource-constrained embedded devices as well as new multicore processor-based systems.

Encirq Professional Services will be led by Greg Stout, vice president of worldwide professional services for Encirq. Mr. Stout has over 17 years of experience as an engineering manager and senior developer. He will lead a cross-functional, international professional services team with extensive experience in high-performance data management in a wide range of embedded and enterprise computing applications.

The Encirq Professional Services team is equipped to provide a range of consulting, training, design, development, optimization, testing and project management services to embedded systems OEMs. These services can be customized to fit specific customer requirements. Additionally, Encirq will also offer a range of packaged professional services offerings:

Performance Assessment Starter Service – This service package can provide either a light or a detailed assessment of a client’s current application, data management code and database with a focus on improving performance, memory usage and reducing latency. Detailed assessments provide a deeper analysis of a customer’s application and include an assessment findings report with specific recommendations for enhancements.

Embedded Applications Starter Service – This service is designed to help customers accelerate development of efficient data management functionality in their applications. Encirq Professional Services will examine the system, source code and requirements, then identify what modifications are needed in the application and data. This package includes code changes and training plus a recommended plan for consulting, prototyping and benchmarking to ensure that requirements are met.

Advanced Data Management Service – This service is for customers who want to optimize existing data management code and databases by tuning both hardware and software to make sure hardware resources are optimally used. Optimization areas include improving search performance, increasing storage performance and efficiency, reducing memory usage, optimizing data schema, and enhancing data protection and security.

SQLite Service – SQLite is a popular open-source embedded database technology. Encirq’s SQLite service package helps customers improve the performance and efficiency of applications that use SQLite through a combination of application assessments, database tuning and customization, possible replacement of SQLite with faster data management technologies, and training.

Prototype Service – This prototyping service is focused on helping customers rapidly design and implement a proof-of-concept application related to high-performance data processing, data communication between devices, multi-source searching or other specific data management theme.

Embedded Application Testing Service – This service is designed to assist customers with testing and QA of embedded applications on devices, simulators or PCs. Services include test design, usability testing and test automation.

Data Migration, Integration and Communication Services – These services are geared for customers needing assistance with migrating and integrating data from: device-to-server and server-to-device, product-to-product, format-to-format, XML transformations, data schema migration, as well as adapters for acquiring and processing real-time or streamed data from external sources.
