TOKYO, JAPAN., March 27th, 2008 — Encirq KK (located in Higashi Gotanda, Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo), a Japanese subsidiary of Encirq^® Corporation, a leading provider of software and services for ultra high-performance event processing and embedded data management, today announced its embedded database SDK dubbed “DeviceSQL” was selected for use in several new LCD projectors from NEC Display Solutions, Ltd. (headed by president Yoshiaki Tsuda, headquartered in Minato Ward, Tokyo). This new line of high-performance, Windows-Vista compatible projectors were introduced to the market in January, 2008.

The projectors built with DeviceSQL technology include three models, the NP3150J, NP2150J and NP1150J, being marketed under the “View Light Series” as NEC Display Solutions’ new projector offerings compatible with the Network Projector function that comes standard with Windows Vista(R). NEC Display Solutions plans to sell a total of 60,000 units throughout the world including the Japanese domestic market in their first year of going on sale.

As the variety of equipment that can be connected to projectors increased and ways in which connections can be made diversified, so did intra-device data including profile information being stored in the projector. At NEC Display Solutions, the need became imperative for the upgrading of the device platform to make it capable of handling such intra-device data flexibly, efficiently and reliably From among competing alternatives, NEC Display Solutions chose to work with DeviceSQL because of the ability to quickly realize high-speed and high-efficiency data management with a minimum consumption of hardware resources. In addition, the implementation of DeviceSQL-language-based data management has a good technical match with projector software, which contributes to enhanced development productivity and software quality.
