| BURLINGAME, CA, June 27, 2006 – Encirq Corporation, the leading provider of data-centric software for intelligent devices, today announced the appointment of David Cowan as General Manager – Asia/Pacific. Mr. Cowan brings over 15 years of global experience in building and growing sales and distribution channels to Encirq. He will provide leadership and strategic direction for the region, overseeing its marketing, customer support, sales, and finance and administration activities. |

| Cowan has extensive senior management experience in the high-technology arena. Prior to his appointment to General Manger – Asia/Pacific, Cowan was Director of Business Development for Encirq. Before joining Encirq, he was the President and CEO of PFU Systems, Inc., a Fujitsu Company, focused on selling technology solutions to the intelligent device market. In that role he pioneered the system-on-module market, one of the fastest growing segments in the embedded market. Prior to that he established Psion PLC, Japan, a leading handheld computing device manufacturer. |
