Encirq Launches Japanese Subsidiary
San Francisco-based Real-time Data Integration Leader Announces Industry Veteran
Isao Yumoto as Newly Appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Japan Office
SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF.—November 10, 2004—Encirq Corporation, the leading provider of real-time data integration software, announced today that it has opened a wholly-owned subsidiary, Encirq KK, in Tokyo, Japan. The new subsidiary, headed by Isao Yumoto, president and chief executive officer of Encirq KK, will lead the sales, marketing and support of Encirq’s products throughout Japan, as well as work with Encirq’s existing distributors.
Encirq KK will market and sell Encirq’s industry-leading data integration solution, Encirq 3e, which enables the design and development of more innovative, intelligent devices. Building products on the Encirq 3e framework enables customers to deliver highly differentiated products and services resulting in increased revenue and market share, leading to higher gross margins. The company’s new Japanese office will also enable Encirq to provide local access to technical resources and sales support to its existing Japanese customer base.
As president and chief executive officer of Encirq KK, Yumoto brings more than 30 years of sales and marketing experience in the IT and embedded software industry to Encirq KK. Prior to joining Encirq KK, Yumoto established three Japanese subsidiaries for North American device software ventures, including Integrated Systems, Inc. (ISI), which merged with Wind River, Pixo and Zucotto Wireless. Earlier in his career Yumoto supported automotive accounts at IBM Japan, where he also served as a software marketing manager responsible for CAD/CAM/CAE products and later, as business development manager for E-commerce solutions.
“Encirq is committed to supporting our customers in Japan by helping them build more intelligent devices using Encirq 3e. Establishing a local office in Japan will enable us to be closer to our customers and gain a better understanding of their unique needs,” said Mark Vogel, chief executive officer, Encirq Corporation. “Isao’s rich experience with customers, combined with his relationships within the wireless, consumer electronics, office systems, automotive and telecommunications sectors in Japan are invaluable to Encirq’s efforts to better service our customers.”
“Working with Japanese software developers, I have witnessed an unprecedented need for an effective data integration solution. I look forward to solidifying a significant Japanese presence for Encirq, the only company offering solutions that leverage dynamic data both within and across devices,” said Yumoto, president and chief executive officer, Encirq KK. “Encirq will prove essential in helping a wide variety of Japanese manufacturers produce more efficient, intelligent devices using our unique real-time data integration software.”
