Severity Level Classification

The following severity level ratings are used to categorize each support request.

Level 5 : New Feature -- A function, feature, method or mode of operation that you would like to see added to the product

Level 4 : Minor -- A suspected or actual bug whereby a software component may not functioning correctly or documented, but does not impact production

Level 3 : Moderate -- A suspected or actual bug whereby a software component is not functioning correctly and your usage is not routinely impacted

Level 2 : Serious -- A suspected or actual bug or combination of problems that significantly impacts your development and/or production, but where an alternative operation is available

Level 1: Critical -- A bug whereby (1) your production work has been stopped and no alternative is available, or (2) your safety is put at risk or damage is incurred, or (3) your data is compromised or lost, or (4) there is significant risk of lost business opportunity or competitiveness
